Kunstverein Ludwigshafen

By invitation of the Kunstverein Ludwigshafen FAIL developed a conversation area in the back room of the exhibition quarter ZOOM in the shopping mall Rhein-Galerie. FAIL investigated how the mall functions – as a place to buy, a place to work and as a place of encounter where the most diverse people come together.
FAIL EASY – Unnecessary stay turned the aimless spending of time prohibited by the Rhein-Galerie’s house rules into a principle and invited visitors to hang out. Visitors found a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the mall and were able to be creative, listen to music and play with the lighting atmosphere in the room unobserved.
The project is funded by the Stiftung Kunstfonds as part of the NEUSTARTplus special funding programme of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM).
